Your Truth Within
Family Weekend 08/26/2008

This weekend I had a fun time at my mom's house. My Step dad and her own an acre or so of land filled with fruit trees and gardens. We went to a few local wineries in the Yakima Valley and witnessed beautiful views. All this time spent with my family got me thinking about the importance of family and your family history. It's something I will focus on in depth in later posts but I think there is some valuable information about the untruths in your life. As great as it is to have a family, sometimes they intentionally and unintentionally create a myth about yourself that you start to believe. Mine? I grew up believing that being sexy was wrong. Sexiness has been a core characteristic of mine and I was told that I was many times by men and boys. But I grew up in a family of females with a single mom. It's long story, but there was competitiveness and an equal mistrust of males because of my mom's history. No wonder I grew up feeling confused and ashamed of something that came naturally to me.

I'll make a future goal to go further into the family dynamic and how it affects your truth. There is so much more to uncover!
